SodBuster Golf Tournament

The Izard County Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to host its 9th Annual Sod Buster Golf Tournament on October 10th at the beautiful Turkey Mountain Golf Course in Horseshoe Bend. We’re reaching out to ask for your support in continuing to make this fundraiser a success.

Each year, the Sod Buster Tournament grows in participation and visibility. Because we hold it in October—when no other local tournaments are scheduled—it has become a truly exclusive regional event. And let’s be honest: after the summer we’ve had, everyone is ready for a great day of golf without the blistering heat.

This tournament is the Chamber’s signature fundraising event, drawing golfers from across the region to our scenic mountain venue. It gives us a valuable opportunity to showcase one of Horseshoe Bend’s premier amenities and highlight the quality of life our community offers to residents, visitors, and potential new businesses.

This year’s tournament will be a 3‑person scramble, with an entry fee of $150 per team.

  • Coffee and donuts will be available beginning at 8:00 AM.
  • Shotgun start at 9:00 AM.
  • Golf carts are not included in the entry fee but will be available for rent.
  • Dixon Golf Challenge and Aurelius Challenge

​We anticipate no fewer than thirty teams participating in this one‑day event, making it an excellent opportunity for you to show your support for the community while also promoting your business, campaign, or upcoming endeavors through sponsorship.
All proceeds directly support the Izard County Area Chamber of Commerce, helping fund community events, business recruitment efforts, and initiatives that strengthen and grow our region.
