SodBuster Golf Tournament

The Izard County Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 8th Annual Sod Buster Golf Tournament on October 11th at the Golf Course on Turkey Mountain in Horseshoe Bend, and we need your help to make this fundraiser a success. Normally we have this tournament in June but the board members decided that this year we would do the tournament in October when there's no other local tournaments going on. The idea behind moving this tournament to October was to allow our tournament to be the only tournament going on in the local area so we could maximize the amount of local teams for participation. The Sod Buster Golf Tournament is the Chamber’s exclusive fundraising event which draws golfers from all over the region to the scenic venue. This tournament will be a 3 person scramble with an entry fee of $150 per team. Coffee and donuts will be available beginning at 8 am, and the tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 9 am. Golf carts are not included in the entry fee but will be available. We hope to have no fewer than thirty teams participate in our one-day tournament, so this is a great opportunity for you to show community support through sponsorship. All proceeds will be used to help the Chamber with operating expenses which go toward supporting community events and recruiting new businesses and residents to our area.
